Villa Bermeja

We booked Villa Bermeja for four nights to host our wedding, and the experience was truly memorable. The villa itself is absolutely stunning—from the beautiful garden to the breathtaking views, everything set the perfect backdrop for our big day. We had Lisa as our wedding planner (part of the Villa Bermeja team), and she was exceptional from start to finish. She arranged a food tasting and a complete tour of the venue beforehand, and on the wedding day she and her team ran everything with flawless precision. We couldn’t have asked for better support. Lisa also recommended several suppliers, including the florist (Lisa Floristería), videographer Aske Martinus, photographer Salvador from Evergreen Málaga, and DJ Alex Woods. Every one of them exceeded our expectations, and we are very happy with the results. The only negative aspect of our stay was the taxi situation. Around 22 of our guests needed transportation, and we were informed by the venue that only Casares Taxi is allowed to drive down the valley to the villa. Since all guests stayed in Estepona—around 25 minutes away—the total cost came to €1500. While Casares Taxi did provide reliable service, the price felt very high (about €70 per guest), especially considering that Uber/Bolt rides to the valley entrance cost around €20 per car. We were also informed of the price less than a week before the wedding, which caused unnecessary stress, and there was no option for guests to pay directly in the car. We had to pay the full amount upfront on short notice. Despite this, everything else about the venue and the team was outstanding. We are truly happy we chose Villa Bermeja for our wedding, and even in November Spain delivered beautiful weather for our celebration.

We are from Germany & were able to spend 7 wonderful days at Villa Bermeja and host our annual women's retreat there. This location is simply fantastic - the perfect place to develop creativity and a free mindset. There was enough space for every single woman to feel completely at ease. Surrounded by beautiful nature, we immediately felt relaxed and inspired. My personal highlight was the pool - and there is even an indoor pool plus sauna! A location can't really offer more than that. The exchange with the owner Karl went smoothly. He is very accommodating and friendly, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The villa offers a wonderful combination of peace, comfort and an inspiring atmosphere - ideal for any kind of retreat or time-out. We are very grateful for this experience and can highly recommend Villa Bermeja!

We had the most incredible week at Villa Bermeja, culminating in our wedding — and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The villa itself is stunning: beautifully designed, spacious, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Set in a peaceful and secluded spot up in the mountains, it offers breathtaking views and total privacy — the perfect backdrop for a wedding. We stayed with a group of friends during the week leading up to the wedding, which made the whole experience even more special. It was the perfect setting to relax, celebrate, and enjoy quality time together before the big day. The team behind Villa Bermeja was professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout. Communication was smooth and reassuring every step of the way. We also had catering from Lisa during the week, and it was absolutely fantastic — delicious food and a seamless experience that made everything even more enjoyable. The villa provided countless beautiful backdrops for our wedding photos — from mountain views and architectural details to quiet garden corners. Our photographers had no shortage of amazing spots to work with, and we’re thrilled with the shots we got. Everything exceeded our expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend Villa Bermeja to anyone considering a destination wedding in Spain. It’s a magical place that made our special day (and week!) truly unforgettable.

Great Villa! Lots of grass to host events! Trampoline and swings! Outside pool can be very cold! Indoor pool is very warm! The roads can be very bumpy and scary.

Profile: 2 adults, 1 baby bellow 1 year Period: March 2025 The path to the villa was a traumatic experience for us. There is no asphalt on the way and due to the heavy rain, we had to cross river. Internet was down and the reception is like 0. Our family were panicked not to have any news from us. We stay there only night. We got refunded for half of the booking of the remaining nights. Probably a nice place if you want to isolate yourself, we got the bad aspect of it. Our advices: - take a rental car that can go off-road a bit - check really what are your cancelling conditions

Absolutely Amazing!!! Every aspect of the venue was perfect.

I recently stayed at Villa Bermeja with a large group of family & friends and it was a fantastic location and experience. Lots of indoor and outdoor spaces for everyone to find their own nook to rest and hang out, as well as larger common areas to gather for activities and meals. The kids (and adults) loved the pool and grounds. The wifi was excellent (great for remote work). We worked with the villa's team to arrange a paella night (a big delicious hit for all) as well as a poolside flamenco performance (everyone danced). Everyone loved our time at the villa. Well worth the short drive inland from the beach of Estepona. Hope to return to this special place in the future!

We booked a work retreat/event at the Villa Bermeja property and had a pretty great experience. Plenty of private outdoor working spaces on the various terraces, big community rooms and fast WiFi. The entire estate worked out well and I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a top tier work space and/or getaway for their team. The drive inland was well worth it, easy to traverse with any car type + amazing countryside views.

We had such an amazing time at this beautiful Villa Bermeja property. We took a family trip with our 7 & 12 year old kids for a much awaited family reunion and this place exceeded our expectations. It was pristine surrounded by beautiful lush greenery and colorful flowers and fruit trees. Kids specially loved the gorgeous large pool and the hot tub and picking avacados. The interior is exquisite with high ceilings, all the ameneties and plenty of space for family dinners and gatherings. The host was very hospitable and attentive. Last day we celebrated our nephews b'day with delicious spanish cusine and the host had arranged flamenco dancers to come perform, which was a lot of fun and a great culural experience. We loved the close access to the town of Sota Grande, Casares (white village) and the gorgeous beach town of Estapona with lots of restaurants, bars, shopping and live music. This was a memorable experience of us and our family and we certainly hope to return to this property soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Bermeja. The host was fabulous - very kind and thoughtful. The house is a beautiful retreat - spacious, with comfy, tastefully designed interiors. Set in lush, gorgeous, well manicured gardens with avocados and oranges to die for. It was a joy to sit each morning on the balcony of the main house sipping coffee. I felt embraced by nature's nuturing tranquillity, as I sat, soaking in the breathtaking views.

Villa Bermeja is a relaxing and beautiful location for a family reunion and getaway. Comfortable rooms and many fine amenities.

We were fortunate enough to spend two weeks with family at this stunning location. There are so many amenities on site it can be hard to leave the villa! The lovely town of Estepona is only a 20 min drive away and we also visited Gibraltar, Casares and Tarifa. Plenty of space to spread out and big tables to have family dinners together. We can’t wait to return 😄

The place is lovely once you're there. However the access road is shocking... For somewhere so nice, to make it so difficult to access is something that needs attention. A family wedding I attended here could not be faulted by the immediate location in terms of a nice wow factor but being one of the attendees doing some running back and too, the road killed my car. Also there are some things the owner could be advised to improve, such as if being used as a wedding venue in the summer, more table parasols are required. One or two other things re attention to detail, which I may add later which are still in discussion about the specific visit will require an update to this but will see how that plays out ;-)

What an absolutely amazing place. The team were so incredible from booking to answering questions before arrival. We have stayed in several villas in the Gaucin/ Casares area but Villa Bermeja is the one we will now always return to. Lisa, the chef was fabulous, and everything we needed was catered for. The whole house is so well equipped with everything you could possibly need, and the gardens are just stunning. So well planted and cared for. Looking forward to our next visit.

It's a very beautiful place, went there to work as a wedding photographer. The access to the place is hard, no road signs, only a dirt road which is very narrow.

Oh my days, what a hidden oasis in stunning countryside! Beautiful Villa Bermeja is right off the beaten track so you are guaranteed complete seclusion and privacy which was absolutely perfect for the wedding I was lucky enough to officiate there under the trees draped with floaty fabric and ornamental bells. The bilingual ceremony on the lawns needed nothing more than the breath-taking backdrop of the natural countryside. We stayed at this villa for a joint birthday celebration with family coming from all around the World. We had booked it 30 months in advance and the Owners could not have been more helpful in making our stay so special. What an amazing villa. 5* in every way possible. The villa provides all the luxury anyone could want and the pool and the grounds are so beautiful. The Chef (and Property Manager) Lisa was brilliant. She cooked us a number of amazing meals and the proportions meant that we had plenty left over. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was a privilege to have stayed there and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you everyone connected with Villa Bermeja!
